Policies and Procedures

All clients attending an in-person session must adhere to our health policies, ensuring they do not have a current illness or infection. Our infection control procedures are in place to protect everyone. If you are ill but still able to train, you can maintain client confidentiality by booking an online appointment.

- Comfortable clothes should be worn to each appointment to ensure freedom of movement, adhering to our health policies that prioritize client comfort.

- The client has the right to choose their level of undress if an oil massage is required, maintaining client confidentiality throughout the process.

- If the client prefers to remain fully clothed, staff will administer the treatment through the clothes in accordance with our infection control procedures.

- In cases where the client decides to undress, bottom underwear MUST remain on at all times to respect privacy.

- Bras may be worn or removed, provided they are appropriately draped. 

- BREAST TISSUE MUST BE COVERED to ensure compliance with our health policies.

- Verbal consent will be obtained if unclipping the bra is necessary during a prone position treatment, and the client will be asked again before re-clipping.

- Staff will leave the room while the client undresses and will only enter once the client has draped a towel over themselves and has given verbal consent to do so.

- Towels will be draped according to Australian standards, in line with our infection control procedures.

- The same protocol applies when the client is instructed to redress, ensuring both client confidentiality and adherence to health policies.

All bench tops, as well as the massage table and chair, are sanitized with Dettol after each appointment in adherence to our health policies and strict infection control procedures, ensuring client confidentiality throughout the process.

Dettol hand wash is conveniently located at the sink and in the bathroom, ensuring adherence to health policies and infection control procedures. Staff will wash and dry their hands before each new client and after completing a foot sequence, prioritizing client confidentiality. It is also recommended that clients wash their hands to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

In the case of a localized fire, there is an extinguisher in the corridor outside the front door, ensuring safety while upholding client confidentiality. If a fire occurs, the building's alarm will sound and a voice will come over the loudspeaker with instructions, in alignment with our health policies. The evacuation point is at the park at the end of Nelson St, where infection control procedures will be observed to safeguard everyone's wellbeing.

The room is vacuumed daily to maintain high health policies that ensure client confidentiality. The bathroom is cleaned daily as part of our infection control procedures. Additionally, equipment is checked regularly and replaced if found faulty.

What is documented and discussed during sessions is strictly confidential, adhering to health policies, and will not be shared. Consent will be sought if a picture or video is necessary or if information needs to be referred to another practitioner. Verbal consent will also be requested if a picture or video is to be used for an anonymous case study on social media, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.

To manage risks effectively and adhere to health policies, it is essential that the oil be kept and used exclusively from pump bottles. In the event of an oil spill, it must be cleaned up immediately to ensure compliance with infection control procedures. To eliminate trip hazards, please place clothing and accessories in the provided basket, and position shoes against the wall. If a client needs assistance getting on or off the table, please do not hesitate to request it, as client confidentiality and safety are our priorities.
